In March 2012 Preformed Line Products (PLP) opened its 18th factory in Argentina, the second location in South America. PLP Argentina resides in a 4,200m2 building located in Moreno, a municipality 30 miles from the capital, Buenos Aires. It was created with the aim of strengthening PLP’s leadership in the local and regional transmission, distribution and telecommunications markets.

PLP Argentina has the capability to provide a full portfolio of accessory fittings for transmission and distribution lines and PLP spiral vibration dampers (SVD). The facility also offers a plastic injection product line that will guarantee the production of a wide variety of polymer based products. It will supply the telecommunication market with optical closures and accessories for fiber optic networks.
