For Joining aluminium and Copper Conductors

Designed for joining aluminium and copper conductors in either overhead or underground situations, Electropar's 2 piece line taps fit on to the main conductor without having to cut it and use standard CDA dies for compression. For solid conductor, always use peg dies and compress the line tap so that the peg penetrates the side of the fitting (see drawing for peg position).

Always prepare the aluminium conductor by wire brushing prior to installation of the line tap and use EP Jointseal or EP Uniseal jointing compound on both the main and tap conductors. Compress the entire length of the line tap and, if being installed in an underground situation, insulate the joint with putty tape or grease loaded tape to keep moisture out.

2 piece line taps are supplied individually labelled and packed in cardboard cartons.
