The successful candidate will be based in the Auckland Office leading an industry best in class team of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, providing technical leadership of custom solutions within the Primary and Secondary HV Power Systems, Alternative Energy (Wind and Solar), Fibre Communications and Marine Defence industries.
The role ideally suits an Engineer who has illustrated Technical competence within the Power Engineering Industry related to the design and manufacture of HV Power Connections. We are seeking candidates who can prove their excellence in technical knowledge and practical ability in a Manufacturing environment.
The role requires: Electrical Power Engineering competence; Understanding of Mechanical Systems and Mechanisms; Practical competence to use Heavy Industry Tools; Client Communication; Interpretation of Standards/Technical Specifications; Technical writing and presentation; Project Management.

• Power Electrical Engineering competence.

Electropar PLP is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer who is proficient in 3D Mechanical Design using Pro-E Software.
The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate from previous employment, a strong Practical and Analytical competence in mechanical design of Manufactured Products.
The position will suit an engineer who has an advanced Mechanical Engineering Course and can ideally demonstrate a history of implementing 3D Solid Modelling Design within a Manufacturing environment and has team leadership experience.
This successful applicant will lead the Design Team and be responsible for: Transitioning 2D CAD Systems to 3D Pro-E Modelling; Assisting the transition of AutoCAD Operators to Pro-E; Designing Sheet Metal Enclosures for NZ Market; Interacting across a global network of PLP Design teams; Championing New Product Developments; and leading new design through application of fundamental engineering principles.

Internal / External Sales Representative
ElectroparPLP Limited has a new role available in the “Control & Defence” sales and customer services division. The role covers both maintaining relationships with existing customers and developing sales relationships with new clients. The position also incorporates the maintenance and development of new products and suppliers.
Reporting to the Sales Manager – Control & Defence the role is a combination of Customer Services as well as a few key client visits which will require some out of town travel. The position is based in our Auckland Head Office.
Your key responsibilities include:

Sales duties that include assisting with technical responses for sales proposals

Helping in the design of custom-made products

Assistance with sales order entry for complex projects

Staying abreast of current industry trends and developments

Assisting with new business development

Actively supporting the Sales and Marketing team to ensure the overall success of the team

Meeting regular sales targets
Experience in selling to the Electrical industry would be an advantage. An electrical qualification would be advantageous but not essential, as would knowledge of “Hazardous Area Electrical Equipment.” However, full training will be provided.
This is a new position and has potential for growth.
Electropar is a leading supplier of electrically safe equipment to Industries where there is potentially hazardous gases, vapours and flammable dusts. The range of equipment is comprehensive, including lighting, switchgear and automation products.
