Tubular Midspan Joint Assemblies

For Full Tension Joining of Steel Cored Aluminium Conductors

Electropar's tubular midspan joint assembly utilises the industry standard aluminium and steel compression combination.


Manufactured from solid, heat treated steel, the ferrule is used to join the steel core of the conductor. The aluminium sleeve compresses over the steel ferrule and the aluminium strands of the conductor. Electropar's midspan joint assemblies develop 95% of the conductor rated UTS and meet the type test requirements of IEC 61284 and AS1154.


Electropar's tubular midspan joint assemblies are supplied with Uni-Grip "C" jointing compound. Crimping can be done with conventional steel DS and aluminium DA dies
