Open Run Tee Joints |
For connection of cable dropper to transmission line or substation flexible bus CONDUCTOR.
Designed to be utilised in both line and substation applications, Electropar's open run tee joints can be utilised when the AAC, AAAC or ACSR conductor is not available to be inserted into the connector from a free end. This allows placement of the Tee, and hence the dropper, at any point on the transmission line or substation bus without cutting or re-terminating the overhead conductor. To fit, the body of the open run tee joint is applied to the conductor, then the slide is simply inserted into the body of the Tee. The fitting is compressed onto the conductor using standard DA dies for aluminium. Unigrip C compound should always be scratch brushed into the conductor prior to compressing the closed run tee joint. |
