E/FUSING COVER™
A Distribution and Substation class cover with a 20 year life span to prevent animal outages on the pole top transformers, reclosers and substation breaker.
E/FUSING COVER™ is a molded high temperature vulcanized silicone cover for preventing animal outages. Made from 65 Durometer Silicone, almost 1/8" thick, it will electrically insulate Distribution and Substation equipment, including, Pole

Top Reclosers, Transformers and Substation Reactors, Transformers, Reclosers, Circuit Breaker and Station Service Transformers.
E/FUSING COVER™ is flexible and hydrophobic. The flexibility allows an easy connection between cables and the equipment NEMA pads. Regardless whether the connection is from left, right or straight up, the E/FUSING COVER™ bends to allow complete insulation coverage. Unlike other hard plastic covers, cutting holes, making slits and field modifications are virtually eliminated with the E/FUSING COVER™.
E/FUSING COVER™ can be used in any environment. The natural hydrophobicity of silicone along with its superior U.V. and chemical resistant properties sustains expected life beyond 20 years. Install and forget. No other plastisol, polypropylene, polyethylene or heat shrink cover has the long term life of a E/FUSING COVER™. In addition, the closure flange is held in position by the same silicone as the cover. No more rotted tie wraps that allow those other covers to fall off. E/FUSING COVER™ Place E/Bushing Cover over bushing making sure that it covers at least the whole bushing connector or the top bushing skirt. Push push-pins into the flange making sure that the flange is securely sealed and push-pins are seated properly into flange. E/Fusing Tape and E/lnsulation are recommended to cover bushing leads.

E/FUSING COVER™ comes in three sizes:
•Half Size:has a bottom diameter that expands from 150mm to 175mm. Primarily used on pole top transformers. •Full Size:has a bottom diameter that expands from 175mm and a height of 300mm. •Large Size:has a bottom diameter that expands from 205mm and a height of 450mm. Accessories are also available to increase the large covers height, width and length.
All styles can be used to sit on the first skirt of a bushing, or using the built in blocking, it can completely encapsulate the first and/or second skirt. The conductor exiting port on the top of both styles has been sized to fit cables 6.4mm to 38mm in diameter depending on the E/FUSING COVER™ to further insulate your cables or bus. |
