Galvanised Steel Dead Ends on Copper Conductors

For Terminating Bare overhead copper conductors

Electropar's Galvanised Steel dead ends can be used for terminating bare copper overhead conductors. Galvanised steel dead ends for copper conductor are obviously not so compatable with the conductor as the copper dead ends and therefore are not recommended for use near the sea coast or highly polluted areas.

The advantage of these fittings is that they are lower in cost than copper fittings.
Galvanised Steel dead ends should not be re-used after the original installation, and should not be allowed to rotate around the conductor strands.

The lay direction of both the Galvanised Steel dead end and the conductor strands should be the same. Most stranding is right hand lay and all Electropar Galvanised Steel dead ends feature right hand lay as standard.

Galvanised Steel dead ends are supplied individually colour coded and labelled for easy identification. Popular sizes are listed in the table
