Preformed Dead Ends One Piece |
For Terminating Aluminium Conductors
Manufactured from aluminium alloy wire, Electropar's preformed dead ends are designed for terminating AAC, ACSR and AAAC conductors. The dead end's holding strength on AAC conductors is equal to the UTS of the conductor. On ACSR/AAAC conductor, the holding strength of the dead end is 60-85% of the UTS of the conductor.
For installation, the dead end should be wrapped onto the conductor as far as the colour coding mark. Dead ends can be removed and adjusted up to a maximum of 3 times. Thereafter they must not be re-used.
Dead ends are supplied individually colour coded and labelled for easy identification. All Electropar preformed dead ends feature right hand lay as standard. Popular sizes are listed in the table below. |
