EPS Auto-M8 Remote Wireless Controller

The Electropar AUTO-M8 Remote Wireless Controller is designed to provide remote control functionality for Electropar's EPS1 (11 kV), EPS2 (22kV) and Scada-Mate (33kV) Air Break Switches.

The AUT0-M8 system comprises a Motor Drive mechanism which is attached directly to the Air Break Switch and a Grade 304, IP 65, Stainless Steel enclosure which houses the utility specified RTU, batteries, and battery charger. Normally the battery charger is powered from a locally supplied 230V source, though a solar panel power source is an option if no local service is available.

The AUTO-M8 Remote Wireless Controller interfaces with any SCADA system the OPEN, CLOSE, LOCAL and REMOTE switch status information, as well as MAINS SUPPLY FAILURE and BATTERY VOLTAGE LOW.

A rotary switch located in the small, pad-lockable box on the front of the unit enables linestaff to switch the device between LOCAL and REMOTE. This keeps the main enclosure and its electronic contents sealed from the elements in all weathers as linestaff do not have to open the large enclosure to de-activate the device.
The AUTO-M8 can be fitted to the switch at time of initial install, or retro-fitted at a later date.
