The Electropar Switch (EPS2) is a 22 kV, horizontal break switch designed specifically to suit NZ Power Company overhead line construction. The EPS2 is available in both 600 Amp loadbreak and non loadbreak (isolator) form.

The EPS2 switch can be installed either:

• Sitting on top of two cross-arms either side of a wooden / concrete pole
• Sitting on top of two tee brackets which are bolted to the concrete / wooden pole
• Sitting on top of mid pole brackets under sub-transmission

Standard Equipment

1. Cypoxy Polymer Insulators - The six Cypoxy Insulators keep the switch light and easy for the linesmen to install.
2. Silver to silver switch contacts (include terminal pads). Silver contacts are provided for the best electrical contact possible.
3. Corrosion resistant stainless steel sleeved journals and bronze bearings. The rotating insulators on the EPS2 switch are seated on stainless and bronze bearings which will not freeze up even after years of service in the coastal NZ environment.
4. The EPS2 is supplied complete with a handle for fitting to the base of the pole. An insulated section of handle is available as a part of the switch package.
5. The EPS2 is supplied fully assembled and adjusted. No field adjustment of the interrupters or the switch mechanism is required.
