PLP Australia

PLP Australia originally started operations in Victoria Australia in 1962 then moved to Northmead in New South Wales, in 1967 where it remained for 30 years. Within that time, PLP diversified its areas of operation into steel forging and plastic molding for both the power and communications industries.

During this time the Northmead facility met the need for these products in the transmission, distribution, substation and communications market segments. With continued growth and diversification over the years it became necessary to move into bigger and more modern facilities and in 1998 PLP Australia purchased a 2 hectare site at Glendenning in Sydney's Western Suburbs. PLP Australia has been ISO 9002 certified since 1992 and operates a NATA accredited mechanical testing laboratory.

Laboratory testing capabilities at Glendenning include mechanical tension tests, Rockwell hardness tests and metallic coating tests.

Operating from the site at Glendenning is the Rack Technologies division. Rack Technologies is a specialist manufacturer of 19" and 26" rack system enclosures and accessories for the Communications, Electronic, Security and Electrical industries.

PLP Solar is a division of PLP Australia providing PV Solar and renewable energy systems.
